Here is a fantastic recipe for cookie dough cravings (admit it – we all have them!) that is healthier and allergy-friendly. This recipe is adapted from a recipe on the Frisky Lemon blog. Depending on the ingredients you choose, these bad boys can also be Paleo, vegan, and raw too!

FYI, these cookie dough bites are healthy and delicious (and very addictive), but they are not low-calorie!

Cookie Dough Bites

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites

Makes 15-20

1 cup almond flour*
2-3 Tbsp. honey
1/3 cup natural nut butter of choice
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup chocolate chips or mini chips (optional)

Mix all ingredients together well; you can warm the honey and nut butter together in the microwave to make mixing easier if you wish. Enjoy!

My dough was still a bit warm from the honey, so when I added the chocolate chips, the chocolate melted into the dough. So, they are more like Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites ; )

* I didn’t have almond flour/meal today, and I wanted my kids to be able to eat these (they are allergic to nuts). So, I ground up some sunflower seeds and some unsweetened coconut flakes and used in place of the almond flour. I also used Sunbutter for the nutbutter, and these turned out delicious!

I like the idea of using almond flour and nut butter– definitely cuts down on the cleaning of the food processor ;)
