Hello friends! Last week we went to Seattle and explored the area a little bit. We went to Pike Place and spent quite a bit of time there looking around. I loved it there! The sights and the smells were amazing: fresh doughnuts, herbs and spices, fresh seafood, and the smell of the almost 100-year-old building itself were memorable.

I can tell stories with photos better than I can tell them with words at times, so enjoy our photos of Pike Place 🙂

The old antique and vintage novelty shops were really neat to see!

We lived in Washington state for a while (in Bellingham) while I was a teenager, and my family visited the Holmquist hazelnut orchards. It was really neat to see that they had a booth in Pike Place. We didn’t end up buying any of them to bring home because my daughter is very allergic to hazelnuts.

Loved seeing the fresh seafood! Most of the people running the stalls were nice, but we ran into a few really rude shop/stall owners and workers. Really unfortunate to see that, it never endears people to their business when they are rude to potential customers.

The fresh mini donuts were awesome and it was fun to watch them being made.

One of my favorite places in Pike Place was the Italian market shop with cured meats and traditional Italian foods.

The square where Pike Place Market was in had other markets around it. Wish we had access to more things like this in Wyoming!

One of our last stops was the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory shop, I love their kitchen.

  1. Oooooo nooooo!!! if I were there, I’d NEVER EVER leave! Or I would leave with 80 pounds of salmon and other fish… Except then I would realize I am staying a hotel with no cooking equipment or a freezer….. But then I would tell the FISH MONGERS to SHIP IT TO ME… And that’d cost an extra $8000 bucks! LOL!
