These past few weeks I haven’t been writing too much. I have been busy in the kitchen testing recipes (some good and some not so good!), getting giveaways put together (yay!), and doing a bit of traveling.

This past week we went to Seattle for a few days to wind down and hang out, and here are some of the photos from downtown Seattle and the piers on Alaskan Way. Tomorrow I will be posting some photos of Pike Place Market, so stay tuned!

Most of our photos on this page are from our trip to the piers in Seattle. It was fun to stop by here again! Since my great grandpa used to live in Seattle, we came to visit a few times when I was really young and we stopped by the shops on the pier.

I don’t remember a ton about that trip as a kid, but I do remember being in an and antique and curio shop and seeing shrunken heads on display (real ones). That was pretty cool, but I think at the time I was so young I thought it was scary!

Pretty neat to see the different shops on the pier. We also saw some runners along the street, this would be a great place to run!

Wish I’d have gotten more photos of the beautiful fall colors on the trees while we were there!

Dinner at Blue C Sushi. Our first time ever trying sushi on a conveyor belt. It was delicious and quite expensive since we both have a big appetite for good sushi. It’s definitely easy to over spend on sushi at this type of restaurant!

Another favorite of ours for lunch: Greek food! Chicken shawarma salad and some incredible baba ganoush with pita bread.

On our place ride home, a view of Mount Rainier with Mount St. Helens in the far background. Such a beautiful view!

  1. We loved the Crab Pot when we were in Seattle, the Tamarind Tree for Vietnamese food, and our favorite place of all is Top Pot where they hand make their doughnuts fresh everyday – sooo… good! Looks like you had a wonderful time in Seattle!

  2. These are some great photos! Thanks for sharing. Here are three of our favorite places to eat in Seattle (even though this could change next week): Pesos Kitchen & Lounge (breakfast), Paseo Caribbean Restaurant (lunch), and Lloyd Martin (dinner). Yum!

  3. So hungry! You just made me so hungry! I love those sushi places with a conveyor belt! Sadly, they’re always sushi and not sashimi! I remember in Hong Kong my mom went to a place like this and we just ate all the fish, LOL! They looked at us quite funny, 😉 And wow, the Crab Pot looks UHHH MAZING!!! 😀 I need to go to Seattle, especially since I am such a FISH person!

    • The food was awesome! It was the first time we had been to a conveyor belt sushi place and we ended up spending quite a bit of money on dinner there, but it was worth it! The Crab Pot was nice because the “clam bake” meals are steamed so it’s allergy friendly, big win! 🙂
