If you need to get a handle on sweat during workouts, here’s a unique way to wipe sweat away: the Handana. Here’s my review
Let’s talk about sweat. We all sweat when we work out (or should!), so dedicating an entire post to controlling sweat is inevitable – no, essential. Some people love being drenched in it, others really hate it. But everyone can agree that whatever your feelings about sweat, we all need a hand managing it.
Sometimes sweat can get in the way of a great workout: sweat dripping into your eyes, losing your grip on sports equipment, and breakouts. Instead of reaching for a sweat towel or using a headband, you can give the Handana a try.
You have probably heard the saying “I don’t sweat, I sparkle”. Ha, that’s putting it sweetly! If that were the case than some people would look like a disco ball!
The amount a person sweats depends on more than your level of exertion: genetics, gender, hydration, and hormones all play key roles. But whether you “sparkle” or gush, it is nice to have something on hand to control the liquid awesome.
I got a Handana to try out and I ran it through several different workouts to see how it performed:
- Rowing machine
- Stationary bike
- Weight lifting (yep, it works when lifting weights, too!)
- Pull-ups, pushups, dips, etc.
I wasn’t sure how well the Handana would do during weight lifting and strength training, but it still performed beautifully! I replaced my right weight glove with the Handana and it didn’t slip around or fall off. I machine washed and dried my Handana 2 times and it was still in good shape.
I may lay off the machine drying though just to make sure the heat doesn’t destroy the elasticity in the fabric.
Overall, here are the things I loved most about the Handana:
- Fabric: soft, wickable, stretchable, maintains it’s shape
- Convenient and portable!
- Sturdy – stood up to weight lifting and washing with no tears so far
- Stylish: nice colors and cute design
The Handana is a perfect way to control your sweat when you still need to use your hands and don’t want to tote a small towel around. You can even get one for each hand for big sweaters or endurance workouts. Got friends who sweat? Handana makes a great gift, too!
