Hi everyone! I have been experimenting with adding video to my blogs lately and included one today. It has always been my vision for The Fit Cookie to be a source of quality information and encouragement for anyone who wants to enjoy good food with their family while navigating food allergies and special diets.

I am adding video here and there to include resources for people who love to watch video in addition to reading posts.

I want to create simple recipes, content, and videos that are meaningful, not something that just takes up space on my blog or drives traffic. Tell me what kinds of videos and recipes you would love to see! Tutorials, recipes, how-to’s, encouragement, interviews….let me know.

I have several recipes and ideas in the works right now (cinnamon rolls! an ebook?), but I would love to hear what you all love! I am a big believer in helping others – that is the driving force behind The Fit Cookie! I want to help others, that includes you 🙂

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pomegranate arils
  • ½ to 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Open and seed pomegranates to collect 2 cups of arils. Alternatively, you can buy the fresh arils already packaged for this recipe.
  • Add pomegranate arils and water to a blender (just enough water to cover the arils and help them blend). The less water you can use, the better!
  • Pulse the blender for a few seconds at a time, and only until the arils are broken open. You don’t want to blend too long or it will grind the seeds and make the juice bitter.
  • Pour your pomegranate mixture through a doubled or tripled cheesecloth, or a juice/nut milk bag.
  • Discard the solids and refrigerate the juice. Enjoy!

  1. I was just going to start a search on how to make my own pomegranate juice and there was your email! Perfect timing for us and pomegranate season. Thanks!

This will be great for the kids as they have been craving juice since we began a year long pledge of no processed food. I would love to post your video on our blog.
