Okay, it is confession time! I have been slacking off a bit in the nutrition department and to a lesser extent in fitness, too, and I am less than thrilled with the results. I have gained some weight and the fat has overstayed it welcome. It’s time to get serious!
I am determined this month to lose some weight that has crept on over the last 6 months for a couple reasons: 1) I want to get back down to my ideal maintenance weight, 2)my husband and I are going to Las Vegas this month for the IHRSA convention, and I want to attend my first fitness convention in great shape, and 3) I want to set a good example for my clients and students by practicing what I teach.
My biggest hindrance is accountability. I start out doing quite well and then I drop the ball because I don’t have a peer support system for my fat loss goals. That’s where social dieting (like DietBet or HealthyWage) comes in: not only is there a peer support system built in to the contests, there is also an element of competition and the lure of money – how awesome is that!
I know that this time around I need to have a good plan set up, because we all know how true the saying is “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. even if for some reason I don’t lose 4% of my weight, I will still get healthier, so it’s a win-win! Here is my game plan for this DietBet:
