Homemade Sunflower Seed Milk

  • 1 cup sunflower seeds unsalted (roasted or raw)
  • 1 Tablespoon whole flaxseeds
  • 2 cups water
  • Dash sea salt to taste


  • Put sunflower seeds and whole flaxseeds in a bowl and cover with water. Cover the bowl with a cloth or lid and soak for a couple of hours until soft
  • Drain the seeds and add them to a blender
  • Add 2 cups of fresh water to the blender and blend for a minute or 2 until the sunflower seeds are finely ground
  • Pour the sunflower seed mixture through a juice bag or nut milk bag into a jar or pitcher and store in the fridge for about 2 days.
