Melt the dairy free chocolate over a double boiler or for 30 second intervals in the microwave until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate into the silicone ice cube tray, filling each well 7/8 full (you'll need to leave a little space for displacement of the chocolate when you add the spoons).
Add the wooden spoons to the chocolate.
Allow the chocolate to set up at room temperature or chill until set (chilling in the fridge will help these set up faster).
Once the chocolate is set up, melt the dairy free white chocolate and crush the peppermint candies or candy canes in a bag.
Dip the bottom of each chocolate cube into the white chocolate then immediately into the crushed peppermint.
Set on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and allow to set up again at room temperature or in the fridge.
Once the chocolate is set, store in an airtight container or bag. Or wrap these in mini bags and gift them!
How to make the hot chocolate:
To make the hot chocolate, add a hot chocolate spoon to 6-8 ounces of hot dairy free milk (it needs to be rather hot or it will take a longer time to melt completely).
The chocolate will melt into the hot milk. Stir as it melts.
Once it's completely melted, use an handheld frother to mix the chocolate into the milk until it's smooth.
