My favorite part of IDEA World conference was the people! Here are some of the awesome friends I connected with at IDEA World and Blogfest this year
It’s time for another IDEA World and Blogfest recap! Why yes, I am slow with the conference recaps…. 😉 One reason being that my site was down for a little while, ugh. But it’s finally up and running and I need to get back on blogging track.
I loved connecting with friends at IDEA World and BlogFest, both meeting online blogging friends and meeting new people!
Hands down my favorite thing about the conference was the people! I was loved getting to actually meet many of the bloggers I talk to online but had never met in person. Getting to know people and build relationships made this conference the best one I have attended so far!
Our BlogFest group after our PiYo Live class with Chalene. Can you find Chalene?
Post-bootcamp group selfie with Libby, Jill, Pavement Runner, and Kasey. Shauna Harrison taught the Under Armour bootcamp and we were a sweaty and smiley mess at the end!
I loved getting to meet Lorna Jane Clarkson! I loved listening to her talk about her company’s Move Nourish Believe philosophy and how they want to make fitness accessible and attainable for everyone. Love that!
Having some photo booth fun with Jill! Propel sponsored a fun photo booth at the networking happy hour so we could capture some memories with friends
Dinner with friends! From right: Pamela, Jill, me, and Debbie. I had such a great time meeting these ladies!
Post-yoga class with Tara Stiles! It was a treat to do a live yoga class with Tara. I had done her DVD’s before, so this was fun! I love her style of teaching, it’s so comfortable
Jill and Gigi! I couldn’t wait to meet these ladies, they are so fun!
Me and Jill – one of my favorite photos!
Sarah Jane Parker is the founder, recipe creator, and photographer behind The Fit Cookie. She’s a food allergy mom and allergy friendly food blogger of 12 years based in Wyoming. Sarah is also an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Health Coach, Revolution Running certified running coach, and an ACE Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist
It looks like such a fun conference. I wish I could have made it this year. Fingers crossed for next year!
It was a great conference! I am thinking about going next year, too. You should go! I would love to meet you and get some food photography tips, haha! 😉
So fun! You got pictures with a ton of people! I’m awful about getting out my camera for pictures with myself in them! How fun to have those pictures with Tara Stiles, Cassey, and Gigi (didn’t even know she was there but I’d love to meet her!). It was such a great time! I still have a couple recaps planned as well – it’s never too late, is it???
I am usually missing from my own photos, so I had to make a point of getting people to take some of me to prove i was there LOL I am SO behind in recaps, but I feel better knowing I’m not the only one! 😉
I was so happy to have a chance to meet you! And I’m pretty jealous that you got to meet Gigi. I couldn’t find her at the expo!
I loved meeting you too! I had a hard time finding Gigi, too, we had to text back and forth for a while before we could meet up 🙂
How do you get involved with conferences?
<3 jamaica
Hi Jamaica! I find some good blogging or fitness conferences through my blogging networks or other bloggers. The IDEA fitness conference has been going on for quite a while now, but the Sweat Pink ladies worked with IDEA to put on the first BlogFest. It was good! I am looking forward to going to more. There are lots of other great ones, like FitBloggin, Blend Retreat, check ’em out! 🙂
YAY! I am still soo soo sooooo happy I finally got to meet you! I am so sorry about all of the CRUD you had to go through POST expo/conference though! UGH! And I am glad your site is back up!
I had such a great time meeting everyone! I loved getting to meet you, too, Gigi, even if it was just briefly 🙂 We should collab on some recipes again this winter!
