Looking to reduce and eliminate the chemicals in your skin care? Check out the natural Exuberance Beauty and skincare products
One of my goals for 2013 and beyond is to reduce and eventually eliminate chemical exposure in my family’s lives. This can seem like an incredibly daunting task, but I keep reminding myself to focus on progress, not perfection.
One of the ways I have worked on reducing our chemical exposure has been by buying chemical-free skin care. Several people in my family are sensitive to fragrance so we tend try to avoid anything with added fragrance anyway.
But lately I have been trying to learn more and get better at reading labels and at least reducing the amount of mystery concoctions we put on our skin and in our hair.
Several years ago I tried out some moisturizer from Exuberance Beauty and I fell in love with it! It was a bit spendy for me so I couldn’t afford to buy it all the time. I recently started looking for chemical-free skin care again and I decided to try the Exuberance skin care again since I loved the moisturizer so much.
The Exuberance Beauty company uses plant-based ingredients for every product. I received the Soothing Facial system, which includes the Green Tea Fragrance-Free Cleanser, the Indian Rose Calming Facial Tonic, and the Indian Rose Calming Facial Cream.
I loved all of the products, especially the facial tonic! The rose in the tonic is amazing and I love that it comes in a spray bottle for easy application.
Here are some highlights of Exuberance Beauty skin care:
- 98% certified organic botanicals and extracts
- Vegan and cruelty free
- Free of gluten and wheat byproducts
- Free of water and undiluted with fillers and thickeners
- Free of parabens
- Free of synthetic fragrances and artificial colors
- Free of petroleum and petrochemicals
- Free of sulphates
I was hoping that this new skin care would help with my acne problems, but my skin didn’t clear up (there are other underlying causes behind my acne anyway). I loved the Soothing skin care system, but I think the Exuberance Balancing System would be a better fit for my particular skin type.
Even though I didn’t see an improvement in my acne, I still feel good knowing that I am not exposing my skin to harsh chemicals. I also know that as I take care of my skin the right way without chemicals (and from the inside out), my skin will get better even if it takes a little while.
If you are taking steps to reduce your chemical load, consider changing your skin care. Exuberance Beauty has undergone a few changes over the last couple of years, including lower prices, which is great for people on a budget (like me)!
Still can’t afford to buy Exuberance? Don’t worry! There are other affordable and natural skin care options out there, such as Burt’s Bees, Neutrogena Naturals, or Dr. Bronner’s liquid castile soap (you can use this for everything – literally!).

OHH i am so interested in this! Thanks for sharing. I know we focus on what we eat, but what we put on matters too and I’ve been trying to make the switch.
It can be tough to find good products that are chemical free. It is so good to see more companies making healthier products that are more affordable these days – cost has always been a big factor for my family 🙂
