I love shopping for healthy products and sharing my finds! Check out my latest health food haul and find some new things to try
Sooo, it’s been a little while since I posted about some of the new products I have found, so I wanted to share some of the new health foods I have been trying lately! I post a lot of these things on Instagram so if you follow me there some of this might look familiar. Most of these are products that I have ordered for myself over the past month from different stores online. Maybe you will find some fun stuff for yourself!
Cookie dough squeeze from San Clemente Cookie Dough Company! After I ordered my first batch myself, they sent me some more to give away on Instagram this weekend, so don’t miss it! These are gluten free, dairy, soy, and egg free so I can eat them (they are made in a facility with nuts so my kids couldn’t have them).
This has oat flour that is not specifically labeled as gluten-free, so if you have celiac disease check with the company on that (here is the updated company website).
I ordered these NOW Foods Better Stevia bottles from Vitacost to give them a try and I love them! They are thicker than the other stevia drops I have used before so it’s a bit easier to control how much you add to your recipes or coffee. The English Toffee flavor is amazing in coffee! Way healthier than sugar-free coffee syrups. I’m going to start taking these with me when I go to the coffee shop for my once a week almondmilk latte
Trying out some new teas! I take a lot of supplements in pill form so drinking supplements is a nice change of pace. The Righteous Raspberry Tea from NOW Foods is a really yummy women’s health tea that helps with PMS and menstrual discomfort. I have noticed an improvement in my PMS symptoms after taking PMS herbal supplements so it seems to be helping.
I have been trying to up my intake of anti-inflammatory supplements to keep inflammation from allergies and IBS under control. This seems to help my muscle soreness, too, along with my Vitamin D, magnesium, and calcium. Quercitin is great for allergies, and turmeric and tart cherry is good for general inflammation and muscle soreness.
I ordered some Beef Protein isolate from True Nutrition a little while ago and had the Vanilla Cake Batter natural flavoring added (which uses Stevia and natural flavors). I had the flavoring bumped up since you can customize how strong you want the flavors. I really like this, but my body seems to have some problems digesting protein powders these days so I need to watch how much I use.
Sweet potato powder was another thing I bought from True Nutrition. I was hoping to use it for complex carbs to add into shakes and smoothies, but also want to use it to bake with as a grain-free flour. This sweet potato flour is very finely ground so it is about the texture of flour.
I might have to watch my intake of this though since large amounts of sweet potato can be high FODMAP and this might be once of the culprits in some of my breakouts lately.
I also got a bag of alfalfa protein from the same company, but it is pretty dreadful. It’s very gritty (worse than cheap hemp protein) and has a harsh & bitter taste. I have mixed it with some other things to help the flavor but it hasn’t helped much! I think maybe I will try blending it with fruit or something. I hate wasting protein powder, but I might have to toss that one!
Lately this is what my pre- and mid-workout fueling has looked like. I am loving the Ultima electrolyte powder lately: it’s sugar free, uses Stevia, and has some good trace minerals like selenium and copper. I have been trying to use the GU Chomps over the GU gels lately since the gels have fructose in them but the chomps do not.
I have also found some other good fuels that are lower FODMAP, too, like Hammer Gel. I am planning on posting about low FODMAP sports fuel soon. And stay tuned…I will be holding a Vega giveaway on the blog at the beginning of next week!

I’ve been eyeing that English Toffee stevia at the store but was a bit unsure about it – I’ll have to give it a try!
It’s really good, you should definitely get it!
I LOVE Vega pre workout energizer! I swear by it. And my husband takes tart cherry extract and says it really has helped his back issues. He is now traing for a Century Bike ride next month!
I think those supplements have helped my muscle soreness (along with vitamin D). I used to get SUPER sore for days (one time I was sore for probably a week straight). I haven’t battled extreme DOMS for quite a while now and it has made it easier to stay consistent with my weight lifting.
