Looking for some new healthy eats and snacks to try? Here’s my review of 3 products that make great snacks, including Squarebar

Hey everyone! Nope, I haven’t slipped into a black hole…still keepin’ busy! Although I haven’t written very many posts lately, I have been hard at work teaching fitness classes, personal training, and trying out some super cool goodies to share with you! Here are 3 products I have tried over the last couple weeks that I can’t wait to share with you.

Perfect Fit Protein
The Tone It Up girls, Karena and Katrina, have whipped up another business venture and are now selling brown rice protein powder called Perfect Fit Protein. Perfect Fit Protein has a lot of great qualities, such as…
- Raw
- Organic
- Vegan
- Non-GMO
- Free of: gluten, sugar, fat, soy, corn, allergens, lactose, cholesterol
I am impressed with this protein powder: it tastes great! If you have tried many brands of brown rice protein powder (I have!), you know that some of them can be bland and gritty. Perfect Fit Protein powder is very similar in price and quality to SunWarrior, but has guar gum added for extra smoothness.
The price is a bit high, but if you want a great tasting brown rice protein powder, then you will pay a little more for better quality.
My rating: 9/10
Pros: great taste, smooth
Cons: Price

Squarebar
It’s hip to be square – at least when it comes to the new healthy snack bar called Squarebar. Launched in March of this year, these chocolate-coated bars are vegan and free of gluten, soy, dairy, and high fructose corn syrup.
They are also higher in protein than Larabars, and have less sugar than Pure Bars: a great treat for food sensitive people who want a little more protein and less sugar out of life! I really loved these bars and was sad when they were gone! It is a nice change of pace to have a protein bar that I can actually eat instead of my typical brown rice protein shake.
My Rating: 10/10
Pros: Good taste, allergy-friendly,
Cons: price, heat sensitive

Looking for an über natural and portable snack for your next outdoor adventure or just running errands around town? Try Chunks of Energy. I got to try the High Country G.O.R.P., Lemon Pomegranate, and Raw Cacao with Goji (my fave), but there are lots of great flavors that fit many dietary requirements: organic, raw, soy free, peanut free, vegan, and salt free.
My Rating: 9/10
Pros: Great tasting, portable, affordable, flavor variety
Cons: Possible cross-contamination of allergens
A BIG thank you to the companies who provided the samples!
