Our first mud run and obstacle race! We had a blast at the Survivor Mud Run OCR in Colorado, here are some photos and thoughts about the race
A couple weekends ago my husband, a friend and I went down to Colorado and participated in the Colorado Survivor Mud Run. We had blast! That was our first ever obstacle race, and we both are eager to try some more. We didn’t get any good photos of the obstacles, but here are some highlights:
I think I need a tan 😉
Lessons learned:
- Snug shorts are perfect! Snug leggings are best
- Baggy cotton shirts – not so much! Snug and quick drying tanks work best
- The first wave is best – it is not too hot yet and the mud is fresh (if that makes any sense!)
I LOVED the obstacles – monkey bars, tunnels, mud pits, tires,…it was all good!
Have you ever been in an adventure/obstacle race? What are your tips for racing?
