I’m playing an old school blogging game called 5 things! I’m sharing some interesting and little-known facts about my life in this post today
I am popping in today to share a fun post: 5 Things about me! Lynda at Fitness Mom Wine Country tagged me to participate in an old-school blogging game just for fun. So, if you want to learn a little bit more about me, keep reading 😉
5 Things I have a passion for:
- My family
- God
- Fitness
- Adventure
- Good food (flashback on the salad photo – I have posted this photo before because it’s just so good!)
5 Things I Would Like To Do Before I Die:
- Try and learn to surf (try being the key word here)
- Go on a missions trip and work in an orphanage or safe-house for trafficking victims
- Skydive
- Travel to Africa and follow the steps of David Livingstone
- Go scuba diving
5 Things I Say A Lot:
- I love you
- Okay
- No
- Maybe
- Wait (most of those involve my kids asking for things, haha!)
5 Books Or Magazines I Have Read Lately:
- The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring
- Run Like a Mother
- The Red Bulletin Magazine (great magazine! I can read about people who do crazy stuff I am too scared to do – like base jumping off Mount Everest)
- Oxygen (so bummed that the publishing company went bankrupt! I will miss the Clean Eating Magazine, too)
- The Magician’s Nephew (the first book in the Chronicles of Narnia that I was reading to my kids)
5 Fave Movies:
- The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (I’m a bit of a LOTR nerd)
- The Hobbit (love the book!)
- Miss Congeniality
- Pride and Prejudice (the BBC version with Colin Firth)
- Psych (not a movie, but I had to fit it in somewhere!)

5 Places I Would Love To Travel To:
- Egypt
- Petra, Jordan
- Australia
- Greece
- Israel
5 Random Facts about Me:
- I hate horror anything (movies, music, etc.). Real life can be scary as it is, why add to it by filling your mind with depressing stuff?
- I love fairy tales and mythical stories (hence my love of LOTR)
- We don’t have cable (just NetFlix), so I don’t know too much about the newest TV shows. But in this case, I am perfectly okay with being clueless 😉
- I was home-schooled for most of my school years. Homeschooling works (I graduated college with a 4.0), but it’s difficult and isn’t for everyone. Our 2 kids are in public school, but we might try homeschooling when they get a bit older
- I went to modeling school when I was a teenager and was in a beauty pageant a few years ago. I am not very confident on stage, and I was pretty awkward, so it wasn’t a very good fit for me.

Sarah Jane Parker is the founder, recipe creator, and photographer behind The Fit Cookie which she founded in 2011. I used to not have CABLE but my parents FORCED ME to get it because… It is my job! LOL!!!! I finally obliged and you know what? I FRIGGIN LOVE IT!! ha ha ha ha!!
Oh and one of the 5 most used words that FLIES out of my mouth: F***! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s just my filler word like UMMM or UHHHH – AHH HA HA H! Terrible terrible F****in’ habit 😉
If you didn’t have cable I would be worried…your blog would be called Gigi Eats “Celeries” instead, haha! My husband does miss live hockey games in the winter, though. Oh and new episodes of Psych 😉
