If you’re looking for some new healthy recipe inspiration, here are my top 10 favorite healthy food blogs that I love to get recipes from!
Hi friends! Today I wanted to change gears a little bit and do a roundup of sorts. I started The Fit Cookie back in October 2011 during a time when I was overhauling my diet and my kid’s diet due to food allergies and intolerances. I loved baking and when I found out I had to change a lot of things I was cooking with, I started doing a lot of research online and in magazines to find good recipes.
After a while, I got comfortable modifying recipes and creating my own, so I started my own blog to inspire others! Things have changed a bit over the years, but one thing remains the same: I still draw inspiration from the amazing bloggers around me!
Some of these bloggers are ones that I have followed for years, and it exciting to see how their photography has improved and how their blogs have grown over the years.
Today I want to share some of my favorite and some of the best healthy food blogs! There are some amazing bloggers and recipes here, so click through the images and check out their fantastic recipes!
Chocolate Covered Katie
Chocolate Covered Katie was one of the first blogs I really followed before I even started blogging, and Katie’s blog actually served as inspiration for The Fit Cookie!
Katie is a healthy dessert blogger, so all her recipes are dessert recipes that look decadent but are actually pretty healthy. A lot of her recipes can be made vegan and gluten-free easily, so this Katie’s blog has something for everyone!
The Spunky Coconut
The Spunky Coconut is another awesome blog that I had followed early on in my gluten-free baking adventure and earlier experiments with paleo cooking. Kelly’s recipes are gluten-free, casein-free, and paleo, and there are main dishes, sides, and desserts. Kelly has also written several cookbooks with lots of cool recipes, go check them out!
I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Lindsay at Cotter Crunch a bit through our blogging networks, and it’s amazing to see how much her blog has grown the past few years!
She shares lots of amazing gluten-free and allergy-friendly recipes that are perfect for sports performance (her husband used to be a pro athlete!). She also has some great fitness, blogging, and life posts, too, so there’s plenty to read 🙂
Fit Foodie Finds
Lee at Fit Foodie Finds has all kinds of healthy recipes for breakfast, dinner, and everything in between. Her recipes are allergy-friendly or can be easily made to suit your special diet.
The Big man’s World
The Big Man’s World has a bunch of baked recipes (and some meat and man dish recipes!) that fit a variety of diets. Arman also shares a lot of high protein recipes and homemade protein bar recipes that are gluten-free with paleo and vegan options. Browse his site, you’ll find lots of great recipes to try!
Fit Foodie Mama
Annmarie at Fit Foodie Mama has some great allergy-friendly and healthy recipes, along with great workouts!
Dana at The Minimalist Baker has a bunch of healthy, allergy-friendly recipes that are simple and beautiful.
If you love cooking with protein powder, then you’ll LOVE Protein Pow if you haven’t already discovered it! I’ve stalked Anna’s website for a few years getting ideas for homemade protein bars when I couldn’t buy any that fit my special diet.
Protein Pow not only has some great protein bar recipes, but Anna also shares some recipes for dips, brownies and cookies, breads, and pancakes.
The Healthy Maven
Davida’s blog, The Healthy Maven, is one of my blogging inspirations! I love looking through her photos to get ideas on how to set improve my food photography and blogging. Lee from Fit Foodie Finds and Davida teamed up to create The Blogger Project to help people like me improve their blogging. Pretty cool!
If you have a craving for paleo and allergy-friendly treats and eats that are creative, then here’s some recipes for you! Created by twin sisters Lori and Michelle, Purely Twins not only delivers great recipes, but they also have great healthy living posts and workouts, too.
