We gathered up over 60 gluten free low-carb recipes and keto dairy-free recipes to help with your your low-carb meal planning. Our roundup includes recipes for every meal and snack, from breakfast to dinner and dessert.

Whether you’re heading into the New Year with some healthier eating goals, you’re focusing on a higher protein diet, or you regularly eat low carb to manage a health condition (like diabetes or epilepsy), eating low carb can be challenging when you have multiple food allergies.

For the New Year, I decided to create a roundup of dairy free and gluten free low carb recipes beyond just plain chicken and salad (we have some great salads though, too!).

Whether you’re just reducing your carbs, reducing your sugars, pumping up your protein consumption, or adding in extra fats, there is a recipe here for just about everyone, including dairy-free keto recipes.

Our low carb recipe roundup features dairy free and gluten free recipes, and many of these recipes are also soy free. Quite a few of these recipes do feature nuts (like almond flour), but we still included many nut free options as well!

Since there are a few different guidelines for daily carb consumption depending on what diet you’re following (such as just low carb vs keto), we didn’t list net carbs with the recipes in our roundup or limit the recipes here to a certain number of net carbs, so each recipe is different.

Most of these recipes also feature ingredients that are easy to find in most grocery stores, so you don’t have to make special orders for most of these recipes! Plus many of these recipes are also family-friendly and meals that the whole family can enjoy.

Allergy friendly ingredient swaps for low carb recipes

If you’re loking for some allergy friendly ingredient substitutions for keto recipes, here are a few ideas:

  • Heavy cream -> coconut cream, coconut oil
  • Butter -> dairy free butter, coconut oil, or palm oil shortening
  • Sour cream -> dairy free sour cream (Violife is good, and is low carb)
  • Soy sauce/tamari -> coconut aminos (generally has more sugar), or SanJ No Soy Tamari (made with peas, low sugar)
  • High-fat milk/whole milk -> nut milks or coconut milk mixed with some coconut cream

It’s worth noting that some recipes don’t do well with substitutions, like recipes that use a lot of eggs will not work with egg substitutes.

And some recipes with heavy cream don’t do well with coconut cream, so it’s always a good idea to look for recipes that are written specifically for dairy-free diets, like the recipes we included below!
